And the winner is.......

Congratulations to Angela from Barrow in Furness who won our Paint an Egg for Easter competition. The standard was really high so it was hard to pick a winner but we liked the thought that Angela had put in. It was really clever to have Mr and Mrs Park in a hamper basket. What do you think?

Matthew's Perfect Fish Pie

Love2play's whizz kid Matthew loves2cook and has brought in some fish pie he made last night for his lunch. It might be tasty but its going to stink out the kitchen when he heats it up in the microwave!

Matthew says its the best fish pie he's ever tasted (thanks to Jamie Oliver for supplying the recipe)

Mike says Hello!

This is Mike our Online Guru. He joined Park in August last year and sits next to the printer in the Marketing department. Mike enjoys a bit of banter and is a big supporter of Liverpool FC. He's a keen runner and has been avoiding eating any cakes or biscuits that are floating around the office. He's doing well so far but once Pam brings in one of her homemade cheesecakes we reckon he'll snap. In November he's going over to the USA to run the New York Marathon for the charity Claire House so he's set up a running blog. Why not pop over and check out his latest post...

How cute!

This Easter chick is sooooo cute... we'll have to wait and see if it takes the top prize in our Paint an Egg for Easter competition

Claire Sweeney to be in Hollyoaks?

Claire Sweeney is rumoured to be heading to Hollyoaks to star as the mum of a brand new family. Here's the news story from MyParkMag:

"The face of Park Christmas Savings would make a great addition to the cast as she has great acting, singing and dancing skills. She also has the star quality that Hollyoaks desperately needs right now.

It is thought that Claire could be the head of a family who have recently won the lottery and cause lots of trouble for the current residents. With the Ashworth family leaving soon there will need to be new owners of The Dog - and Claire would make the perfect landlady too.

One Hollyoaks fan told MyParkMag:"I hope the rumours are true and Claire will be in Hollyoaks, I think she's great - so down to earth. I really think she'd become one of the main characters as she's such a great actress. She was fab in Brookside and really funny on Come Dine With Me last week.

Claire certainly is popular right now. On Sunday her name was trending on twitter as thousands of people talked about her performance on the cooking show.

A Hollyoaks spokesperson has told digitalspy who broke the story that there are "no plans" for Claire to be cast."

What do you think? Would you like to see Claire in Hollyoaks?

Haven't I seen that before?

The girls in Marketing loved the dresses wore for Come Dine With Me but one of them was very familiar to us. She wore her sequined dress to our Agent Awards in January.

Everyone's talking about Clarie Sweeney!

As soon as Come Dine With Me aired people started tweeting about Claire and became a trending topic on Twitter. This confused some people who aren't from the UK because they didn't know who Claire was :-)

Claire's amazing dresses!

Did you watch it?

Virtually everyone who works for Park made sure they watched Claire on Come Dine With Me and it was the first topic of conversation once people had grabbed themselves their 9am brews. Robbie, Matt and Mike in Marketing thought she did really well but were glad that Tom O'Connor won overall. They thought his Scouse night was a great idea. What did you think?

Claire Sweeney on Come Dine With Me Celebrity Special!

Four celebs from the worlds of game shows, stage and, erm, cleaning battle it out in this Celebrity Come Dine With Me special

This celebrity special sees the coming together of old school entertainer and game show host Tom O'Connor, the scary Queen of Clean Kim Woodburn, the tabloids' favourite 'love rat' Darren Day, and scouse actress and star of the stage Claire Sweeney, as they compete for the £1000 charity prize.

Claire cooks Italian. Kim talks a lot about toilets. Darren serves a soup featuring a bizarre extra ingredient. Tom rolls out some classic gags and hosts a night featuring a traditional northern sing-song. There are also a few celebrity revelations, cooking calamities, and a topless butler

It's so sunny today!

It's so sunny today! Definitely a 'lets go for a walk at dinnertime' day. There is a lovely boating lake opposite Park with loads of ducks and Canadian geese on it - and the seagulls are always on the lookout for any crusts.

It looks like Spring might have arrived at last!

Introducing Chris

We have two lovely receptionists at Park and they are Chris and Karen. Chris was manning reception when I stopped by with Pam's camera and she didn't mind me snapping away as she worked. Chris knows EVERYONE who works at Park and always knows what's going on. She has worked for Park for almost eleven years and loves it!

Chris has seen a lot of funny things happen over the years but she says the funniest had to be when a guy walked in dressed as Richard Gere in Officer and a Gentleman. He wanted to surprise his girlfriend on the packing lines - but it didn't go plan. She was horrified and everyone else thought it was hilarious!

Lets get snapping!

Not many people know what the Park head Office looks like so armed with Pam's camera I decided to go on a walk-about and take some pics of the outside of the buildings, even though I could have spun my chair round and asked Mike, one of our graphic designers to send me professionally shot ones. I figured I needed the exercise and that you would appreciate some blurry, I don't know how to take good photos, shots.

Here goes...

The Park site is really massive and because it was so, so, so cold I decided to just take photos of the two main buildings. When it's sunny I'll skip all around the whole site taking zillions of photos for you to enjoy -

As I photographed the sign above I decided to head over to reception to get warm before heading back to my desk :-)
